CHINA TO ISSUE VISAS FOR NECESSARY NEEDS ONLY
In view of the rapid spread of COVID-19 across the world, China has decided to continue to suspend the entry into China by foreign nationals holding visas to China. Meanwhile, foreign nationals traveling to China for necessary economic, trade, scientific or technological activities or out of emergent humanitarian needs may still apply for visa. After entering China, you are kindly requested to comply with the epidemic prevention regulations of the local governments.
Kindly notice that instead of the usual invitation, an official Invitation Letter of Local Foreign Affairs Office or Invitation Letter of Local Commerce Bureau in China is now required for business travel. Also, the old Health Declaration Form has been replaced with an online form. See the instructions below.
The Visa Application Service Center is currently open on Thursdays only, and the normal business visa processing time is one week. Express visa is possible to apply also with 2-3 day processing time.
THE HEALTH DECLARATION FORM AND THE NEGATIVE COVID-19 TEST RESULT TO SUBMIT ONLINE
Starting from September 7, 2020 passengers who fly from Finland to China will need to apply for a certified Health Declaration from the Chinese consulate and present it before departure.
Unlike before, you no longer need to send the Health Declaration or a negative COVID-19 nucleic acid test result by email to consulate for certification. Instead, you fill out and submit the Health Declaration form online and attach your negative COVID-19 test result statement to the system. Kindly notice that the COVID-19 test must be performed within 48 hours before boarding. Register and fill out the form from this link: http://hrhk.cs.mfa.gov.cn/H5/.
With this information, the Chinese consulate will certificate your Health Declaration, which is a QR code (green HDC mark). The code will appear when you log in to the system. Present the code from your device while boarding or when ever asked.
Kindly note, that you will have to go the following designated health institutions to take the COVID-19 test: Aava, Mehiläinen, Terveystalo, BiopSense, Vita Laboratioriot, SYNLAB Finland and Yhtyneet Medix Laboratoriot.
